BOOGER HILL BASS CLUB

RULES 2009-2010

 

1. Dues are $140 per team per year. End of the year trophies will be given for 1st and 2nd place teams for the year, and also a trophy for Big Fish of

the year will be given.

2. Life jackets must be worn while boat is on plane (kill switch must be attached to driver’s life jacket.)

3. Each team may weigh five (5) fish per day with a minimum of 12 inches in length, unless state or lake limits are greater, measured with golden

rule with flat lay, closed mouth and fan tail. As long as the tail touches required length, it will be counted in that day’s weight.

4. Culling must begin when the 6th fish is caught. No team may have more than five fish in the live well unless in the process of culling.

5. Short fish to be measured by another member not of that team. There will be no disqualification for short fish. Short fish will be released and

remainder of fish will be weighed.

6. Selecting the person to be check-in/weigh-in officials will be the first place team from the last tournament. If the first place team is absent that day,

the 2nd, 3rd, 4th place teams will determine the officials.

7. Blast off for the day tournaments will be 6:30 a.m. with the weigh-in at 3:30 p.m.

8. Blast off for the night tournaments will be 6:00 p.m. with the weigh-in at 2:00 a.m.

9. Nets will be allowed.

10. Electronic fish attractants will not be allowed during tournament hours.

11. Teams may only weigh two (2) dead fish per tournament. A 2 oz or .2 lbs. penalty per fish will be enforced. Penalty weight will depend on type

of scales used.

12. Live wells will be checked by two club members before each tournament.

13. At least one member of the team must be in the boat at all times unless there is boat trouble.

14. All tournaments will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

15. Tournament times and dates may be changed due to bad weather.

16. Late arrivals must call another member, have live wells checked, and pay entry fee before they start to fish.

17. All teams must be at ramp (boat off plane and inside no wake buoys) at the scheduled weigh-in time. Any team that is up to 15 minutes late will be penalized their biggest fish. After 15 minutes the team will be disqualified.

18. A team will not be penalized or disqualified if there is boat trouble, however the team must call another member before the weigh-in starts otherwise the team will not able to weigh-in.

19. No professional anglers are allowed (professional means anyone who has qualified to fish an invitational type bass tournament.)

20. Each team may bring 3 guests per year. The 3rd guest must have fished as a guest in a previous tournament for the current year. Guests’ weight will count for the first two tournaments and be added to yearly team weight, but the 3rd guest’s weights will not be counted.

21. Changing partners must be discussed with club members.

22. No live bait.

23. A team must fish at least 8 of the 12 tournaments to stay active and qualify any year end awards.

24. Tournament schedules for the will be drawn from a hat (7 lakes) and redrawn for the remainder of the year at the annual meeting.

25. Largemouth, spotted, smallmouth, and shoal bass may only be weighed.

26. Booger Hill Bass Club or its members are not responsible for any accidents.

27. Any team that wishes to join the club must be voted in by current members and pay club dues before they will be allowed to participate. Any team that joins after September 15th will not be eligible for any year end awards.

28. In the event of a tie the team with the biggest fish by weight will win the tie.

29. In the event of big fish tie the team with the most weight will win the tie.

30. In the event of a total weight and big fish tie a coin toss will break the tie.

31. The top three candidates will pay their own entry fees of $100.00 per boat.

32. If a tournament should be canceled or postponed, Wayne Patrick, Mitch Smith and Danny Phillips will meet

       and decide what action should be

       taken. Club members will then be notified.

33. If an alternate lake is needed for a tournament, the first lake to be used as an alternate is Lake Jackson and the

      second lake to be used as an alternate is Lake Russell.

34. The Team of the Year for the 2009-2010 tournament trail will have their 2010-2011 annual club dues paid by

      Booger Hill Bass Club.
